As the President and Wealth Advisor of Insight Wealth Management, Michelle brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role.
Her academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she was part of the Honors Program, and advanced studies in Human Rights Law, (London, UK) and International Business (at ESSEC Business School in Cergy-Pontoise, France.) Michelle earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law in 2014.
Michelle began her financial career as an advisor with Retirement Planners of America in Houston, TX, where she found her education and experience in law, taxation, finance, accounting, and business structures to be of particular use. Michelle is always looking for ways to grow as an advisor and is currently in the process of getting both her CFP and her insurance license.
Before founding Insight Wealth Management, Michelle ran a successful test prep and academic consulting business for 17 years, where she tutored high school, college, and adult students for the SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, AP and IB exams and graduate level courses. She has a perfect score on the SAT and has scored in the 99th percentile on the GRE, GMAT, and LSAT exams. Her legal experience includes working with the Harris County District Attorney's Office, the State Prosecuting Attorney, and Susman Godfrey, highlighting her commitment to excellence and service.
Michelle grew up in Houston, TX, where she attended Lanier Middle School and Lamar High School. She is deeply committed to community service, actively volunteering with Houston Welcomes Refugees and Houston Volunteer Lawyers. Her involvement in these organizations underscores her dedication to positively impacting her community.
Outside of her professional life, Michelle enjoys renovating her 1920s bungalow, dancing salsa, and biking along the bayou trails. She is also a devoted pet owner to her two birds and bunny Millie. Her blend of experience, education, and personal dedication makes her an invaluable asset to our team and our clients at Insight Wealth Management.
